Beverly A. "Bev" (Cooper) Bridge, 86, of Lafayette, passed away at 12:29 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 at IU Health Arnett Hospital. Born August 21, 1927 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Everett E. and Olive A (Fincher) Cooper. Bev lived her entire life in the Greater Lafayette area, graduating in 1944 from the former Wea High School. Her marriage was on February 19, 1945 to Cecil B. "Jim" Bridge and he preceded her in death on September 1, 2004. Bev had worked as a cake decorator and saleslady at O'Rear's Bakery for six years, retiring in 1969. She was a member of the East Congregation of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. Bev enjoyed reading, needlepoint, and spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, Bella.
Bev is survived by her three children, Karen S. Brown of Buckeye AZ, Alan D. Bridge (fiancé, Becky Ashley) of Lafayette, and Deborah K. Belange (husband, Mark), of Lafayette, three brothers, Lynn R. Cooper (wife, Rita) of West Lafayette, Dennis L. Cooper (wife, Janet) of Houston, TX and David J Cooper (wife, Donna) of Lafayette, 10 grandchildren, Tamara, Christopher, Brian, Jason, Whitney, Erica, Jennifer, Aaron, James, and Stacie, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgranddaughter. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian J Bridge, two sisters, Vivian Cooper and Janet Case, and two brothers, Glenn D. Cooper and Everett E. Cooper, Jr., a son-in-law, Donald Brown, and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Sue Bridge
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Memorial Services 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 2224 State Street, Lafayette, with Brother Eugene Muston officiating. Private family entombment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, New York City, NY or Almost Home Humane Society. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care.
