Catherine D. "Cathi" (Staley) Walters, age 57, of Lafayette, went to join her husband, on December 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at IU Health Arnett. Born April 21, 1956 in Oakland, CA, she was the daughter of the late Shirley (McCord) Staley Stoner. Cathi graduated from Jefferson High School and received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Purdue University. She was a manager for AAA Auto Club for 3 and a half years before retiring.
Her marriage was to Robert L. Walters on June 17, 1972 in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2004. She enjoyed reading, auto racing and traveling.
Surviving are her three children, Dawnya
K. Miller of Whiteland, IN, Tristy N. Terwilliger (husb: Rob) of Swansboro, NC and Jerel R. Walters of Lafayette; and her five grandchildren, Chase A., Alexandria R. and Kerrigan L. Miller, Kelby E. Jenkins and Taylor A. Walters and her dear friend Terry Ross of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and step-father John Stoner.

A Memorial Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. Tuesday followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Hippensteel Funeral Home.
