Lois J. (Marion) Shaw, 93, of Frankfort, passed away at 7:35 p.m., on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Wesley Manor in Frankfort. Born June 28, 1920 in Jasper County, she was the daughter of the late Julius N. and Elma V. (Rockwell) Marion. She graduated from Medaryville High School and attended Beauty School.
Lois married Raymond Shaw and he preceded her in death on November 19, 1992. She worked as a lab technician in the Bio Science department at Purdue University for 21 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading, crafts and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Jeannie Campbell (husband, Charles) of Indianapolis, Larry "Buzzy" Shaw (wife, Joyce) and Linda Newton (husband, Chuck) both of Lafayette; her sister-in-law, Margaret Weigel of Clearwater, FL; ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, James M. Shaw, a daughter, Betty Lou Shaw, a brother Irvin Marion and a sister, Neva Hoefer.
Visitation 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church, 615 N. 22nd St., Lafayette, IN 47904, with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Entombment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or Wesley Manor. Hippensteel Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
