Mary Patricia "Pat" (Hicks) Baumgartner, 90, of Lafayette, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in her home. Born June 26, 1923 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Kathleen (Snyder) Hicks. Pat was a graduate of St. Francis High School and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Her marriage was on August 25, 1950 in Lafayette to Leslie Baumgartner and he preceded her in death. Pat was also preceded in death by her companion, Frank Kirn. She was a keypunch operator at Alcoa for 10 years. Pat was a member of the Social Service Bridge Club and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her three children, Steve (wife, Leah) Baumgartner of Lafayette, Donna Warner (husband, Mark Stodgell) of Lafayette, and Jeff Baumgartner of Indianapolis, three sisters, Joann (husband, Fred) Glancy of Muncie, Lois (husband, Bob) Luther of Indianapolis, Donna Crabtree of Phoenix, AZ, and Paul Hicks of Dallas, TX, along with 4 grandchildren, Chad Baumgartner and his four children, Michelle Watts (husband, Mark) and their two children, Montana Warner, and Rory Warner Stodgell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her companion, one brother Richard Hicks, one sister, Eva Jean Hundley, and her son-in-law, Bob Warner.

Funeral service 3:00 p.m. Friday at Hippensteel Funeral Home, Father Clayton Thompson officiating followed by a visitation for family and friends from 4-6 p.m. Friday. Private family inurnment of ashes at St. Boniface Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann's Soup Kitchen or the donor's favorite charity. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care.
