Susan Rose "Susie" (Foley) Taylor, 56, of Lafayette, died at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, December 08, 2013 at Heritage Healthcare Center in West Lafayette. Born April 3, 1957 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Harold "Red" and Ruth (Kelley) Foley. Susie was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and received an associate degree from Ivy Tech. She had worked for Wal-Mart for over 16 years as a manager who was involved in the opening of new stores in Alabama, New York, New Hampshire, Arkansas, Tennessee, Ohio, and Indiana. Susie enjoyed reading and traveling as her job took her to the opening of new Wal-Mart stores.
Susie is survived by her fiancé and companion, Andrew Schultz of Lafayette, one son, Sean Taylor (wife, Brittany) of Crawfordsville, two brothers, Kevin Foley of Lafayette and Jim Gear (wife, Sally) of Roanoke, Virginia, three sisters, Carol Robinson of Frankfort, Candy Ordean of Roanoke, Virginia, and Nancy Vanderkleed (husband, Stan) of Lafayette, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation 1-2 p.m. Wednesday with the service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Following cremation, burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care. Share memories and condolences online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com
