Tamara Lee "Tammy" (Hainje) Skelton, 40, of Lafayette, passed away at home on Monday, January 13, 2014. Born November 29, 1973 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of William "Bill" and Marcy Jo (Hoggatt) Hainje of Lafayette.
Tammy was a 1992 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University in 1996.
She was formerly married to Brent Skelton. Tammy was a devoted mother and a volunteer and supporter of her girls' activities. She was a member of Northview Church at Market Square, Kappa Kappa Kappa Philanthropic Sorority, and Pi Beta Phi Sorority at Indiana University.

Surviving with her parents are her two daughters, Hunter and Ellie Skelton both at home, a sister, Christy Wilson (husband, Bill) of Park City, UT, a niece, Cayenne Wilson, a nephew, Rowan Wilson, aunt and uncle, Karen and Larry Kult of Lafayette, and an uncle, Tamm Hoggatt of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by an uncle, Thane Hoggatt.

Visitation from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Service
1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Choutka officiating. Private burial to take place. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to donor's charity of choice. Hippensteel Funeral Home is entrusted with care. Share memories and condolences online at
