Terry L. "Buck" Sheets, 66, of Monticello, passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette. Born June 15, 1947 in Crawfordsville, IN, he was the son of the late James and Patricia (Meihls) Sheets. Terry honorably served in the U.S. Army. From 1965 to 1968 with Battery A, 5th Battalion 1st Artillery Unit and from 1975 to 1977 with the 567th Engineer Company Maintenance Section, receiving the V Corps Certificate of Achievement.
Terry was a machine re-builder for Quality Die in Flora for 19 years. He received the Allen Institute Certificate of Achievement for completing the Ford Electronic Engine Control III Program. He enjoyed fishing and his spending time with family.
Surviving is his daughter, Kimberly Woods (fiancé, Evan Spikes) of Lafayette; three sisters, Diana Conrad (husband, Paul) of Illinois, Dixie Robinson (husband, James) of Brookston, and Carolyn Kraft of Kentucky; three grandchildren, Savanah Fritts, Austin and Kendra Trent and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Banes.
