Dennis R. Troxel, age 64, a life-long Lafayette resident, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 in his home. He was born July 3, 1947 in Lafayette, the son of the late Richard and Mildred Griffin Troxel. Dennis was a graduate of Southwestern High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as a dye maker for General Cable, retiring due to disability. Dennis was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and he enjoyed bowling, skating, traveling and he especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
Dennis is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Monroe and her husband Jamie of Brooksville, FL and a son, Randy Troxel of Georgia, two sisters: Barbara Daniels and Evelyn Clark both of Lafayette, and 4 grandchildren.
Visitation one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service on Wednesday at Hippensteel Funeral Home with Pastor Clayton Kendall officiating. Burial to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park with military honors.
