Eva C. (Fraser) Faurote Ingram, 91 of Lafayette, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 at Creasy Springs Health Care. Born November 27, 1920 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late James Donald and Nora Jane Clements Fraser. She was a 1938 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and a graduate of Lafayette Business College.
She married Gerald Lowell Faurote on August 17, 1941 in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on November 25, 1980. She married Bill Ingram on October 17, 1992 in Penfield, NY and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2004.
Eva was Lafayette City Clerk for the city of Lafayette for 17 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the church circle for 80 years. She served the church as clerk, deacon, and Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Edgewood PTA, Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Home Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, traveling, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her daughter, Jane Boyer (husband, Gary) of Lafayette and son, Jerry Faurote (wife, Bonnie) of Rochester Hill, MI, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Visitation from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hippensteel Funeral Home and a half hour prior to the funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Malmgren officiating. Burial to follow at Spring Vale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church or Almost Home Humane Society. Hippensteel Funeral home entrusted with care.
