Mark Alan Bjornsen, age 52, of West Lafayette, died unexpectedly at 12:20 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Central.
Born on May 24, 1961 in Evanston, IL, he was the son of Frances (Waggoner) and the late Maurice Bjornsen. He graduated from Eastern High School in Greentown, IN.
Mark formerly worked for Frito Lay for 9 years as a semi truck driver. He loved Harleys' and enjoyed collecting things. Mark lived his whole life for his two sons and devoted his time helping other children.
Surviving with his mother Frances Haughee (husband John) of Battle Ground are two sons: Blake Bjornsen and Dillon Bjornsen both at home. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Wallacia Waggoner Barnard & Floyd Waggoner.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, 615 N. 22nd Street, Lafayette, IN (Union St. to 26th St., go one block South to Elizabeth St. and turn right). Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the church. Rev. Lore Blinn Gibson will officiate. Interment will be at Pretty Prairie Cemetery in Battle Ground.
