Ned Alton Boyer, Jr. of Lafayette, died on Friday, June 15, 2012 in his residence. He previously resided in Oklahoma, San Diego, CA & Monticello, IN
Born on May 19, 1952 in Edinburgh, IN, he was the son of the late Ned Alton Boyer, Sr. & Betty Marguerite Crist Boyer. He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army where served from 1972-1974.
He received his Associates Degree in Accounting from Ivy Tech in Lafayette. He was a substitute teacher for the Lafayette School Corporation and had previously worked in daycare.
He loved library time with his grandchildren, visits to the park, zoo, art museums & especially taking them to the pool.
Surviving are his children: Lee Davis Boyer, Paula Ann Zelten (husb: Tim) & John Thomas Boyer (wife: Andrea), 1 sister: Cindy Lynne Gallien (husb: Richard Bruce) of Westfield, IN, 5 grandchildren: Zachary Taylor Zelten, Taylor Madison Zelten, Faith Elizabeth Boyer, Alexander Brayden Boyer & Erik Christian Boyer.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday at Hippensteel Funeral Home with service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care.
