Pearl Louise (Christopher) Mink, 100, of Lafayette, passed away at the Mulberry Retirement Home in Mulberry, IN, at 7:05 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Born July 28, 1912 in Battle Ground, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Della Cena Stewart Christopher.
She married Guy Edward Mink on May 10, 1934 in Lafayette and he preceded her in death in 1974. Pearl was a machine operator for Duncan Electric, retiring in 1978. She enjoyed playing euchre, line dancing, bowling, aqua sizing, reading mysteries, and fishing with a cane pole.
Surviving are her three daughters: Margaret Metzger of Crown Point, Helen Senesac of Frankfort, and Della Kochert (husband, Roger) of Lafayette; two sons: William E. Mink (wife, Shari) of Bonita Springs, FL and James R. Mink (wife, Nancy) of Burlington, Ontario, Canada; sister F. Dorothy Brower of Lafayette and brother Glen Thomas Christopher (wife, Betty) of Brazil, IN. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John and Everett Christopher and three sisters, infant Louise Christopher, Mary McGowan, and Ethel Paris.
Visitation from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Ernie D. Elder, Jr. officiating. Burial to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Area IV Senior Games. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care.
